How to set speed and Braking Distance

Uncontrolled speed to be one of the causes of the crash of a car or motorbike happened on the road. In fact, in every way already determined the maximum speed which should be observed.

Driving the vehicle too quickly, the more risk of accidents increase. Because the faster the vehicle braking distance, will be spurred further and further, not to mention if it is coupled with the slippery road conditions. So the less likely can avoid the object hit.

Braking distance is determined by many factors, among others,

1. The condition of the road surface, whether it's the way in wet or dry conditions.
2. The condition of the body. The more bald tires or imperfect blossoms, this will make a lower friction.
3. Type the brakes are used. Between one car and another car, have a braking system or different types of brakes, this will also affect the braking distance anyway.
4. The weight of the vehicle, a car or a motorbike.
5. The weather.
6. Braking Time.
7. Location of braking. This is calculated based on the level height of land above sea level. Where do the braking on hilly area and in the lowlands will be different, because of the influence of the gravitational force.

Braking distance is also determined by reaction time, where are of two types, human reactions (1 second) and mechanical or brake system (0.5 sec) which if rounded off in the world of safety, being a total of 2 seconds. This condition is also influenced by several factors.

1. Age, where getting old age (above 50 years) it will be a longer reaction time.
2. The physical condition of the driver
3. Is determined by a mental disorder, in employment or in the household.
4. The influence of drugs or alcohol
