| 4 new AI Insights: Intents, Topics, Citation Share & Compare |
Hello Mahwo Wono,
Earlier this year, we launched the AI Performance Report to show you how often your content is cited across Microsoft Copilot and partner AI experiences. We are now expanding it with four new capabilities, now rolling out in preview, to help you understand the context, themes, share, and trends behind those citations. Here’s what’s new. |
Intents
Grounding queries are now classified into categories like Informational, Commercial, Research, Learn & Solve, and Local, so you can see the query context behind each citation and shape content to match. |
Topics
Related queries are grouped into broader thematic clusters (e.g., “solar panels” + “solar energy efficiency” → Solar Energy), so you can analyze visibility the way modern AI systems organize information. |
Citation Share
See how much of the citation space your site holds for a given grounding query i.e. your share across all cited sources. This can provide a directional view into how your site visibility is evolving over time. |
Compare
Overlay a previous time period onto your current view (e.g., last 30 days vs. the prior 30) to spot how citation activity shifts with content updates, seasonality, or ecosystem changes. |
| These capabilities are in early preview and improving fast — you may spot the occasional inaccuracy. Explore them today and share your feedback right inside the AI Performance Dashboard.
