The Classic & Sports Car Show has evolved into a joint event with Flywheel to form The Classic & Sports Car Show in association with Flywheel. Tickets for the event, which takes place on 23 and 24 June, go on sale today.
Taking place in June 2018 at Bicester Heritage, the event combines the best of historic automotive and aviation heritage and replaces both shows. The Classic & Sports Car Show has until now been hosted at Alexandra Palace, but the move allows the event to grow beyond its size. Last year, £30 million worth of classics filled Alexandra Palace for the event.
The new collaboration will combine land and air demonstrations of cars and aircraft, as well as cars on display from private owners and collectors, as well as classics dealers.
Bicester Heritage, the new location, is a World War II RAF bomber station - reportedly the UK's best preserved example. The location is regarded as a national hub for historic motoring culture.
Daniel Geoghegan, Bicester Heritage's managing director, said: "Bicester Heritage is about the future of the past and has at its heart a vision to secure a robust and dynamic future for historic motoring for everyone who enjoys historic vehicles.
"Partnering with Haymarket - and building on our established relationship with Historic Promotions through Flywheel - provides a wonderful platform for us to create a new way to bring thousands of enthusiasts together in the enjoyment of historic vehicles."
Classic & Sports Car head of content Alastair Clements said: "We look forward to welcoming readers and enthusiasts from across the UK and Europe to the fabulous Bicester Heritage for what promises to be a highlight of next summer for classic fans. We're thrilled to be joining forces with one of the most exciting new events to join the classic calendar in recent years."
