SUV concept has hardcore off-road styling cues and follows the FT-4X SUV concept from the New York show in April
Toyota has previewed another off-roader concept, this time showing the FT-AC ahead of an unveiling at the LA motor show.
The brand remains tight-lipped about the concept, but wide wheel arches, black body cladding and roof-mounted LED lights show a level of off-road prowess to rival the go-anywhere Land Cruiser in Toyota's lineup.
The 'Future Toyota Adventure Concept' name also gives some suggestion as to the brand's angle with the rugged large SUV.
The FT-4X from April's New York motor show is a more road-focused SUV than the upcoming LA-show-bound FT-AC. The FT-AC also appears to be considerably larger than the FT-4X, and will likely be even more off-road focused.
The smaller FT-4X likely previews a replacement to the rugged FJ Cruiser, which didn't come to the UK officially.
The FT-4X was a concept without an engine, so the FT-AC may follow a similar strategy at this stage of the model's life.
